Town Manager's Office Welcome to Grifton

The Town Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Town. These responsibilities include serving as the Utilities Director, Planning and Zoning Administrator, Code Enforcement Officer, and overseeing the Town’s daily financial operations. The Town Manager implements the policies adopted by the Board of Commissioners and exercises the authority granted under North Carolina General Statutes § 160A-148.

Grifton’s Town Manager, Dylan Haman, has proudly served the community since 2025. Residents are encouraged to visit Town Hall to speak with Mr. Haman and his staff, ask questions, or share concerns related to Town services and operations, including water and sewer utilities, planning and development, code enforcement, and other municipal matters.

It is the Town Manager's duty to communicate to the public about the annual progress that Town Staff has made throughout the year. The Manager's report is to be utilized as a tool for government transperancy. Acting as the chief administrative officer, the Town Manger also oversees the creation and usage of the annual budget and brings this budget to the Town Commissioners.
