Preparing for the arrival of Ian

All eyes are on Florida as Hurricane Ian churns its way through the state. From there, the storm is predicted to move northward toward the Carolinas with impacts beginning as early as Friday.

By that point, Ian will have weakened considerably but will still have the potential to bring heavy rains, high winds and possible outages to our area.

Our crews are diligently preparing and at the ready for whatever the remnants of Ian may bring. Since a storm’s path and severity are often difficult to predict, we encourage you to prepare as well:
Visit our Storm Center now for tips on ways to stay safe before, during and after severe weather hits.
– If you experience a power outage, please report it on our website or through our mobile app, text OUT to 57801, or call 800.419.6356.
– Stay informed – make sure you are signed up to receive Outage Alerts and bookmark our Outage Map to stay updated on estimated restoration times.

We’ll continue to keep you informed with additional updates as Ian makes its way to the Carolinas. Thank you and please stay safe.
